Alerting the Media celebrated 3 years in the industry on the 1st of February 2009.
As the driving force behind this dynamic SME, Claire is able to channel her passion for communication and publicity and devote all her energy to growing the business as well as nurturing relationships with clients and media contacts.
With over 14 years of experience, Claire has worked as a producer, scriptwriter and director in the television industry, and then spent 5 years heading up the publicity department at Ster-Kinekor Distribution before she took the giant leap and started out on her own.
Claire is an energetic publicist who values honesty, integrity and professionalism. She is also passionate about nurturing and growing young people wishing to enter the industry and is currently a part-time lecturer at Boston Media House.

The second-in-command at Alerting the Media is Rosalyn Butler, who joined at the beginning of 2007. She has a passion for children, especially ways of entertaining them, and works closely with Claire on many of the family films that Alerting the Media works on for Ster-Kinekor Distribution, including titles like Wall*E, Jonas Brothers Concert, Bolt, High School Musical 3, The Water Horse and Beverly Hills Chihuahua.
Rosalyn is an exceptionally organised publicist and her charm and sense of humour are a must have at Alerting the Media! She is a multi-tasker extraordinaire and you’ll often find her juggling several projects, helping with her children’s homework and alerting the media, all at the same time, and usually just before breakfast!
